The essential principles include mind integrated with the body; control of movements and breathing; generating internal energy, mindfulness, song (loosening 松) and jing (serenity 静). The ultimate purpose of tai chi is cultivate the qi or life energy within us to flow smoothly and powerfully throughout the body

Michael Savalli MSOM, L.Ac,

Masters of Science Acupuncture, NYS Licensed Acupuncturist, Certified NAET Practitioner

Michael is a certified Tai Chi Chuan instructor who received his 3 year certification in Yang Style Tai Chi Chuan under the chenmenching short form from NY College of Health Professions. He has his Masters in Oriental Medicine which includes Acupuncture and Herbal medicine. He Practices Tai Chi on a daily basis to improve overall quality of life, and enjoys incorporating mindfulness techniques within his treatments.

Michael enjoys how Tai Chi can help to calm the mind and emotions, and how it helps him be more mindful throughout the day and act from a point of inner stillness. He is excited to be introducing Tai Chi to the community and is hoping to awaken the love he has for it in people of all ages.
