Enjoy our weekly wellness tip from Licensed Acupuncturist, Michael Savalli, from the office of Elizabeth Martin.
Paleo Golden Milk Latte
Golden milk is a delicious, nutritious treat for this season. It has turmeric which is anti-inflammatory and reverses the oxidation stress of aging. It’s the use of ginger benefits digestion, and in this recipe, contains glycine-rich Bone Broth collagen which promotes restful sleep. So it’s great to have before bed, but if you want it as a pick-me-up, add a shot of espresso. It takes just a few minutes to prepare. This recipe serves one.
Ingredients
1 cup coconut or other nut milk
½ tsp ground cinnamon
½ tsp ground turmeric
½ tsp ground ginger
1 scoop Paleovalley Bone Broth Protein
1 Tbsp raw honey, (or stevia to taste)
Optional: a shot of espresso (if drinking in the day)
Optional Topping: shredded coconut or cinnamon
Equipment
Saucepan
Whisk or Immersion Blender
Directions
Heat coconut milk in a saucepan over medium heat.
Once simmering, add a scoop of bone broth, whisk or mix it with the immersion blender until well blended. Add espresso here if you’re using it.
Add spices and honey. Continue mixing.
Remove from heat and serve.
The flavor is warm and spicy. All the ingredients offer health benefits, too many to go into here. You may know that turmeric is best taken with black pepper. If you’re supplementing with it you’d want to keep that in mind, but for the purpose of this recipe, plain turmeric is fine. It still offers some benefits and adds to the taste. This recipe came to me through Paleovalley. It’s pretty simple, I hope you like it.

Crystal Bowl Sound Healing
Group Meditation
Sound healing is a form of meditation that is performed in a group where you lay on a yoga mat and let the sound transport you.
Sound healing has many benefits including:
- reducing stress and anxiety
- improves circulation
- deepens relaxation
- increases mental & emotional clarity.
- restores balance
Vibrational sound healing can be traced back from present-day trends to many ancient civilizations including India, Africa, Europe, and the Orient. The idea is to restore balance to the chakra system and clearing the blocked energy within ourselves. Sound healing is similar to reiki healing; It is a form of energy healing that allows your body to self-regulate and self heal.
Let the sounds vibrate through you to feel the power of self-preservation and healing.
