Enjoy our weekly wellness tip from Licensed Acupuncturist, Michael Savalli.

Regular acupressure is a simple exercise you can do, that will help circulation and organ function.  Using steady, moderate pressure, go counter-clockwise for thirty seconds, then on to the next point.  Do the left side first, then the right side.

The first point is on the Bladder Channel, on the outer part of the ankle. (BL60) It’s in the depression between the bony part of the ankle, and the achilles tendon.  Massage this point heavily, for 30 seconds on each side.

The second point is on the Kidney channel, (kid27) which goes to the upper part of the chest.  Massage the point below the second rib, about 2 inches from the mid-line.  (The second rib, is the second one from the top.)  Do this again, for 30 seconds on each side.

Do this every morning, and every night, especially if you have upper or lower urinary problems.  It will take less than 3 minutes at a time.  It improves circulation, helps you better cope with stress during the day, and helps keep these organs functioning as they should.
