Enjoy our weekly wellness tip from Licensed Acupuncturist, Michael Savalli, From the office of Elizabeth Martin.
Acupressure Points to Strengthen the Fire Element
Regular acupressure is a simple exercise you can do, that will help with blood circulation and organ function. Using steady, moderate pressure, go counter-clockwise for thirty seconds, then on to the next point. Do the left side first, then the right side.
The first point is on the Triple Burner Channel, (the Triple Burner is basically the three regions of the torso. Upper, middle, and lower). The point is on the back part of the lower arm, It’s about 2 inches up from the wrist, and between the two bones of the forearm. Massage this point heavily, for 30 seconds on each side.
The second point is on the Heart channel, which goes on the inside of the wrist. With the palm faced up, the point is where the wrist meets the hand, in line with the pinkie finger.
Do this every morning, and every night, especially if you have anxiety or heart problems. It will take less than 3 minutes at a time. It improves circulation, helps you better cope with stress, and helps keep these organs functioning well.
