Enjoy our weekly wellness tip from Licensed Acupuncturist, Michael Savalli.
How Acupuncture Works
Part 2
In the last “tip” we started talking about why Acupuncture should be included as part of your healthcare plan. The first benefit we mentioned, was relaxation. That is so important for your health, and not easy to come by. But Acupuncture offers much more than that, and I will try to briefly mention some of those qualities now.
In the Chinese Medicine model, we treat you as a person. That means, we look at all aspects of your health that are contributing towards your disease. We want to find out “where” there are imbalances, then use specific techniques (Acupuncture, herbs, massage, etc.) to bring you back into balance. With your co-operation, over a course of treatments, this has been shown to be very effective. Sometimes results are called “miraculous”, (but we practitioners know, it’s not a miracle, it’s the medicine.) Furthermore, the potential side-effects are beyond minimal. So, with acupuncture, you have a medicine with very little downside, that offers a huge potential upside. That’s kind of exciting.
At Hands on Acupuncture, one of our experienced practitioners will sit with you, and listen to your health concerns. We will give you our full attention and personalized care. If your condition is beyond our scope of practice, we will help you find a specialist who is better qualified. Whether your concerns are minor or serious, it’s all part of our commitment towards actively guiding you towards the best healthcare experience possible. What we offer, is a minimally invasive, relatively inexpensive, and potentially hugely beneficial treatment. But also, we are healthcare specialists that offer accessibility, and expertise. We can help you on the right path to better health, and a better life.
